Call of Duty Advanced Warfare – modest review.
Earlier, the output of each new part of the Call of Duty series was a whole event for the gaming industry, but now the presence of a new “Koldya” in the list of autumn releases has become something common. It’s no secret that the Call of Duty series has been on the conveyor production method for many years. From that, new parts, let the fans delight the fans with their regular release, but are not much different from previous creations. This was a worst way affected the quality of the product, but millions of sales and a huge audience create a favorable ground for the frequent output of the new game.
It used to seem that the series Call of Duty would never die. However, Ghosts, published last year, collected a bunch of negative reviews from both the press and from even the most devoted fans. Fresh Call of Duty Advanced Warfare was supposed to correct a sad position, and return the previously lost confidence in fans. Whether the developers succeeded, now we will find out.
From its very announcement, Activision decided to surprise everyone assuring everyone that a new part of the popular Militari shooter is being developed according to the new system. This time, not a year or two, but three as many as three. Three years, in the forge of Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, the eleventh game in the Call of the Debt series was developed. Activision swore all existing and non -existent gods that the new part would be not just good, but the best.
Honestly, recently a degree Orion-spins-casino.co.uk trusting the series has fallen markedly, and Ghosts completely left a dirty spot on the name Call of Duty. And you know, Advanced Warfare again returned hope to the series. But, let’s, in order.
Call of Duty Advanced Warfare decided to take the theme of the near future, which appeared in the excellent Black Ops 2. Conversibles, exoskeletons, walking tanks, in short, futurism in all fields. And you know, all this looks quite stylish. As for the visual component, as it was worth guessing, the engine did not change. Call of Duty Advanced Warfare works on the same, native series of the engine, but very much modified. So much modified that it does not look bad. Not the level that I wanted to see after Battlefield 4 and Killzone Shadow Fall, but the blood does not go from the eyes.
Also, the plot in the game does not force us to be killed. Thank God, the story is far from the one that we were taught in the previous part. And since I spoke about the plot, it is worth noting that it is not outstanding and far from a masterpiece – as many say. Dear Call of Duty, you must understand that the plot and production are two different things. In the entire Call of Duty series, only the Black Ops dilogy was, where the plot was not just “was”, but was damn good and forced him to sigh of tension at the end.
The setting of the videos remained at the same impeccable level. It is worth noting that Advanced Warfare remained a popcorn shooter, an eye attraction.
What is also striking is the technical quality of the game. Advanced Warfare has a problem with a slow loading of textures, but this is perhaps the only major defect. In all other respects, the game goes smoothly and without sagging.
Gameplay has not undergone special changes. Let the weapon and are painted well, but it is felt in the same way as in the previous parts. Grenades have changed noticeably. In fact, we wear only one type of grenades, however, depending on its configuration, it will perform one or another function.
One of the main features of the game is an exoskeleton that was actively advertised in trailers. He gives our fighter more strength, from which we can jump on and further, as well as tear the doors from cars, and use them like a shield from bullets.
And it would be foolish not to notice that Advanced Warfare was created with an eye on Titanfall. Only in Titanfall gameplay was still noticeably more dynamic. In Call of Duty, we cannot run along the walls, but we can fly a decent distance on the jetpacks.
Comparison with Titanfall arise by itself when we go to multipleeer. Online mode due to the addition of jetpaks has become much more dynamic. And for people who have not played previously in Titanfall, the online mode of Advanced Warfare will be a certain … breakthrough.
So what can I say about the new Call of Duty? The game was definitely a success. For someone it will be clearly the best game of the series. However, no matter how hard the developers try, it feels like they are lagging behind. If this was previously visually visually, now the gameplay is noticeably retreating to a direct competitor from EA (of course, sorry that I often give comparisons with Titanfall, but only the blind will not notice the similarities). Sledgehammer Games worthy of fans and deserved good reviews, but up to 10 out of 10 are clearly far away.
Now the turn is for Treyarch, and they know how to surprise – that’s for sure.
